Yes, that's right...Malachi was rockin' the Big Brother scrubs at the hospital!!

After a rocky "first meeting" where Malachi grabbed at Zeek's face and laughed out loud, the second meeting between the brothers went much smoother...Malachi still laughed out loud when he got to touch Zeek but he did give him kisses and "pet" him. :)

My Zeek! (for some reason my children seem to be born without initial eyebrows and eyelashes...give him time! they will grow!)

Mommy and Zeek are doing great (although Mommy's body certainly tells her when she's done too much)! Zeek went for his first check-up and was 7 lbs 4 oz which means he is already almost back to his birth weight! Yay! He is nursing like a champ and loves to snuggle. Malachi is such a compassionate big brother and gets very concerned when Zeek cries (which isn't often). Malachi likes to poke Zeek's eye, laugh hysterically, and then give him kisses. If he sees Mommy and Daddy but can't see Zeek, he has to go "find" him! It's so cute!

Molly is recovering well from the c-section. Thankfully, her mom is staying with them this week to help her recover (you can't do anything for 2 weeks) until she gets the "all clear" to drive and to pick up the 30+ pound Malachi. Steve returned to work today (as if the past 8 days haven't been enough work for Daddy) and is fired up to get to work on the lives of homeowners! We are still completely depending on our radical God for our financial support during this time and thanks to the faithfulness of His followers, we have made it thus far!

Zeek is my constant reminder of God's aggressive strength. His name, Ezekiel Kaleb, means "God's strength is aggressive" and his little life has shown us such time and time again. Please continue to pray for us as we all adjust to being a family of four (and not much sleep), continued financial support, and that the floodgates would be flung wide open for volunteers on the island!!
