back to reality...

we are back from our vacation and although it was AWESOME to be with family and in the mountains, it was REALLY hard this year without steve. i missed him so much and each time malachi watched his uncle play with his cousins, i got sad (and am getting teary-eyed now thinking about it). i know malachi misses steve SOOOOO much more than he even understands! soon, my loves, we will back in one house (in the same city)!!! we are officially moving out of the katy house the weekend of the 25th so feel free to come help us!!! :) no really, we would love to see all of our friends and love to show them where we will be moving!!

of the 16 hours we drove in the car from north carolina to katy, malachi slept almost 15 of them. i know your first thought is "niiiiice!" but i know my child and that's just not normal for him. we got home, took a shower, then i took his temp...104!!!! AHHHH!!!!! he was BURNING UP!!!! he slept the rest of the day away yesterday and was simply miserable. after doing an ibuprofen/tylenol rotation and his fever still not breaking, i was getting worried, i called his doctor and was reassured that it was a virus (he had no other symptoms). after cold drinks, cool clothes, and some lovin' from mommy (and daddy!!! he drove in just in time!!), his fever went down to 102 and has stayed around there today (as long as ibuprofen and tylenol are involved). thankfully, he has returned (mostly) to himself today. he woke up and asked for his morning milk and a ball. hahahahahaha. i love that kid!

we are trying to pack like crazy over here. our house is a war zone and it's almost impossible to pack boxes while having to keep an eye on a VERY busy toddler (who is an avid climber now). so...if anyone is just dying to pack a box, swing by!!!

exciting upcoming things...
june 21st--20 week ultrasound to see what our precious sequel is!!
june 25th-27th--move out of katy house and down to galveston...finally!!! ONE family!! ONE house!!

**with our new living conditions down in galveston, we are in need of a home for our sweet bailey. she is almost 3 years old, a boxer/black lab mix, and FULL of personality. my parents were gracious enough to agree to "borrow" bo from us until we are in a house that dogs can enjoy. so, if you would like to see if bailey could possibly fit into your family's home, please let me know. it breaks my heart to have to part with her and bobo...even if it's for a short time or not. we just don't know. :(

we long to be so captivated by this Christ we serve that we abandon everything else to pursue Him....
